Symmetrical patterns are preferred.
In this breed, the dogz may have white head and chest/neck markings to any extent even with no white anywhere else on the dog.

In this breed, ticking is usually confined to the ears and/or muzzle area, and these areas can be more heavily ticked.

Notes
English Bulldogs may be shown in off-alignment to accentuate their wide build. The exact degree of the alignment is a matter of the owner's discretion, but the judge must be able to plainly see the body of the dog.
One of PF Magic's original breeds. The English Bulldog once looked similar to a modern American Staffordshire Terrier or even a Boxer, and was bred as a bull fighter. It needed strong, short jaws, to hold on, and the underbite helped it to breath while hanging on to the muzzle of the raged animals. The wrinkles were said to keep the bull's blood out of the dog's nose. This cruel 'sport' was made illegal in 1835, and most breeders lost interest in the bulldog. A few held on to it, however, and bred the dog for a milder, friendlier temperament as well as a more extreme look.
When viewed from the side, the head of the English Bulldog should appear short and deep. The muzzle is short, broad and upturned, with a typical wrinkle above the nose. The eyes are placed low, while the ears are set high on the head. The neck is quite short and very thick, connected to a very deep and broad chest, with a short, strong back and slightly swayed topline, and good tuck up. The hind legs are longer than the front ones. The coat is short and smooth.
