Notes
The Chinchilla Persian is a breed that was invented by PF Magic. It is believed that it was originally supposed to be a Ragdoll, and it's insane behaviour represented Ann Baker, the infamous creator of the breed.
Previously on PKC, the Chinchilla Persian was considered to be a Persian, however UKC has decided to seperate it out into an individual breed to better represent the way it is seen by the Petz community. Its standard matches that of the Persian, thus anything accepted in that breed will also be accepted in the Chinchilla Persian.
Type & Judging Remarks
The Chinchilla Persian should appear as a Persian, but smaller and more compact. It should present an impression of a heavily-boned, well-balanced cat with a sweet expression and soft, round, lines. The long, thick double coat softens the lines of the cat and accentuates the roundness in appearance. Underneath the coat is short, cobby body set on short legs with substantial boning. The face is a circle with the nose placed perfectly in the centre, and the eyes evenly spaced on either side; the ears fit neatly into the overall circle of the head.
