Coat

Solid: Grey (25) Black (35) Cream (45) Tan (105) Blue (115) Dusty (125) Silver (Texture)
The longhaired areas may be a lighter shade or related colour.
The ears/tail may be a darker related colour.
Grey (25) dogz may have Black (35) muzzle, ears, head, legs and/or tail.
Tan: One of the above colours with White (15) Cream (45) Ivory (Texture) in the traditional pattern.
Salt and Pepper: Blue (115) with or without tipping (furfile).
The tipping may be equal all over the dog, heavier on the upper body or heavier on the upper legs.
Ears may be solid Black (35) and the dog may have White (15) markings placed like traditional tan markings (may lack eye spots without fault).
Masking: May be masked - mask colour is same as main body colour (standard mask).
White Markings: allowed as trim.
A neck ring is also accepted, but white should not take up more than 20% of the dog (white furnishings/tan markings not included).
Solid White (15) is allowed, but not preferred.

Notes

The Cesky Terrier originates from crosses between Scottish and Sealyham Terriers, which took place after WWII.

In 1949, a hunter named Horak began a breeding project to get a lighter and more agile hunting terrier than the Scottish. The Cesky was recognized in 1963. During the 1970's it was illegal to export the breed from the Czech Republic and it lessened in popularity, but today it is legal to export them again, and the breed is gaining more popularity.

The Cesky Terrier should appear agile and with good endurance. The head is long with a marked stop, and should resemble a rounded wedge. The ears are medium sized and set high, carried close to the head. The neck should be strong and of medium length. The back is straight with deep chest and slight tuck up. The tail is long and carried like a sable. The coat is trimmed, with gradual borders between short and long fur.
