Burmilla

Coat

Smoke/Shaded/Chinchilla: Any shaded or chinchilla combination except for those including cinnamon/fawn, in silver or golden base.

Burmese Shaded/Chinchilla: Burmilla-specific colour created by combining shaded/chinchilla with Burmese/sepia colouring.
Visible point pattern is optional; the shaded/chinchilla pattern overrides the Burmese patterns, so if there is tipping, it would follow the Burmese pattern, but if there isn't tipping, there is no visible Burmese pattern.

Notes

An elegant cat of foreign type, the Burmilla originates from an accidental mating between a European Burmese and a Chinchilla Persian. The kittens produced (shorthaired silvers tipped with deep brown, or sable chinchilla silvers) were so striking that a breed was soon developed. Today’s Burmilla is a young breed that is still in development, and so the breed is constantly undergoing changes and improvements. Some breeders push for allowing a full rainbow of colours, claiming that there are several hundred genetically possible colours in the breed, whereas others are much stricter and only support the showing of a select number of classic Burmilla colours. As with many new breeds, other colours will likely be accepted over time.

Type & Judging Remarks
Type is moderate, closely resembling the European Burmese. Excessive, Persian-style cobbiness is undesirable. Tipping as even as possible. Shaded and chinchillas must be clearly distinct from each other.
