Task Requirements
FBC exists separately from the Bronze → Silver → Gold progression. You may age your pet down to complete this title.
2. Grooming
Acclimating young petz to general handling sets them up well for the future
Show your baby pet being brushed or groomed and responding neutrally, if not positively, to the stimulus.
3. Settle Down
Learning to se lf-regulate is a key skill for easily overstimulated young petz!
Show your baby pet sitting or lying down on any pillow, or, for pups, relaxed in their crate.
They should be content, relaxed, or sleepy, but not sleeping.
4. Play Nice (Toys)
Toys are helpful in redirecting puppy and kitten teeth and claws!
Show your baby pet interacting appropriately with their toy in any of the following ways:

It's important to build social skills through positive association and interactions!
Show your baby pet either engaging in friendly play with another pet, or remaining neutral / ignoring the other pet. Engagement is defined by eye contact.
For this task, at least one of the petz should be shown engaging with the other.
e.g. Pet A looking at Pet B, who is ignoring them. Or Pet A & Pet B playing. It would not be acceptable for both petz to be ignoring each other and looking at the camera / elsewhere, or the titular pet showing angry eyes. It is acceptable for the other pet to show angry eyes toward the titular pet, as long as the titular pet's response is not angry or scared.

The titular pet should not have their face obscured or be facing away from the camera to the degree where their expression cannot be seen. The exception is the licking animation; as long as the animation is obvious as deemed by the judge, this is acceptable.

BPC: Bronze Pet Citizen

BPC tasks are basic tenets for petz to learn, and for those that have completed their FBC, a reinforcement of those skills!
1. Sit
Show your pet sitting while alert and looking at the camera with a neutral or happy expression, with the exception of Alley and Siamese SCPs.
It can be a trick, or volunteered by the pet.
2. Grooming
Show that your pet is able to be brushed or groomed, and responds neutrally, if not positively. The pet should be angled toward the camera with the face visible.
PFM brushes, hexed brushes, or rags may be used.

Show your pet interacting appropriately with their toy in any of the following ways:

5. Getting to Know You
Free bingo slot/fun picture task!
Include a picture that encapsulates your pet's personality, or simply a funny or fun moment. This task celebrates what makes your petz special.
A single prop, toy, or food item may be used. For this task only, clothing is permitted as long as it does not obscure the pet's face. Minor editing is allowed in the form of speech bubbles or minimal silly doodles. Please specify in the comments section if any editing has been done for this task!
SPC: Silver Pet Citizen
Demonstrated by Mako & Kensuke.
1. Recall
Have your pet walk toward the camera head-on, with gaze alert and focused on the owner.
Sometimes this angle makes dog eyes appear sleepy or odd; just try your best to get the clearest photo.
2. Lay (on pillow)
For catz: have your cat lay on a pillow facing the camera.
For dogz: have your dog perform the "lay down" trick.
3. Heel / Walk on Leash
For catz: have your cat follow your cursor from left to right at a trot pace.
For dogz: with collar, with or without lead, have your dog walk from left to right.
Any hexed lead or collar may be used. Slip leads are also acceptable.
Passing examples show calm demeanor and gaze focused on the handler.
Do not submit photos with pet's gaze distracted away from the handler, running, wrong direction, or not shown lengthwise.
4. Passing Distractions: Toys & Treatboxes
Place down 4 items, either toys or treatboxes, as level as possible.
Capture your pet walking or running through the distractions from left to right. At least three of the items should be in the shot.
5. Music Box / Trick
For dogz: perform any trick of choice, and annotate on the submission what trick is shown.
For catz: show your cat reacting positively to music from the PFM music box.
GPC: Gold Pet Citizen
Demonstrated by Shark & Turbinado.
A challenging set of tasks for the last title of the scheme, for both handler and pet! GPC tasks test the pet's self control, and encourage a display of intellectual and athletic excellence.
1. Retrieve
Have your pet walk squarely toward the camera with a small item in their mouth, with gaze focused on the owner.
Passing examples are positioned as squarely as possible toward the camera and alert.
Do not submit a pet not looking at the owner, or angry eyes if they are not part of the breed SCP.
2. Conformation / Stack
Stack your pet, meaning place them in a right-facing show pose.
It does not need to be perfect and is not judged by pose show criteria. This task showcases your pet's confidence and allows the examiner to see if they are healthy conformationally.
Permitted pose types for catz: traditional cat stack only, including OSHies, Alleys, and Meezers.
Permitted pose types for dogz: Dalmatian pose, Dane pose, 3/4 facing pose, or either Poodle pose.
Passing examples have bright or alert expression. Pets will not be faulted for alignment or tail unless severely off, but there should be an attempt made.
Do not submit severely skewed alignment, closed or sleepy eyes, captured at a low breathing point, half pose, overposing, or not posing.
3. Passing Distractions: Food
Have your pet walk/run through a minefield of treats, with their focus on you or directly ahead of them.
There should be a considerable amount of treats visible and reasonably spread out.
4. Passing Distractions: Other Petz
Have your pet walk or trot past another pet, with their focus on you.
The titular pet should be in front of, and overlapping, the volunteer pet. The other pet should also be visible enough to identify them, with at least 50% of the pet showing.
Expression should be neutral or happy. There is no penalty for the other pet's expression or reaction.
5. Athleticism
For dogz, show any of the following:
- Catching a frisbee.
- Running with a PFM or hexed ball.
- Leaping through a hoop or hexed jump.
For catz, show the pet successfully pouncing on, catching, or playing with a mouse or auto-rolling ball.
Your pet's face should be visible and the action clearly performed. Angry eyes for catz are permitted for this task.
