Universal Kennel Club is your home for Petz showing! Register your petz, track their points, and earn titles in all the popular show formats.

We have several show types to choose from and are working on adding more, namely Conformation shows a la PKC. We would love the input of former PKC registrars and judges. Please send a message to FilthyHippie here on UKC or defvenom on Discord if you want to help out.

Confused? No worries! Read below for instructions and tips on how to get started.

Bare Bones Start

• Locate your user profile by clicking your username in the top menu.
• Register a prefix associated with you/your site. (e.g. my site is Filthy Hippie, I use FH as my prefix, KingHarry uses King's)
• Take a right-facing pose photo of your pet for registering (it does not have to be a "good" pose).
• Select your prefix from the drop down when registering your pet.
• Type the pet's show name however you normally would. (e.g. I registered my pet Dalmatian, Actor, with the show name Maui's All In The Act because I adopted him from Maui, and I select my prefix when registering him because he is my pet)
• Enter shows!

Prefixes

Prefixes function as kennels/catteries/wildries: a collection of petz you're grouping together for one reason or another. Many people just have one prefix they use for all petz they own, the grouping would be their petz crew.

Other people like to separate petz by breed or group, for example all Great Danes under one prefix or all Herding dogz under another. It's all up to you and whatever story you like to tell while you play!

You can type in whatever showname you want. Prefixes arent automatically added to show names.

We haven't added joint prefixes or selecting another user's prefix for your pet at this time.

Breeds & A-reg/P-reg

90% of petz people own are going to be P (Pet) reg Mixed Dogz or Mixed Catz. This is a very safe assumption to make for your pet.

A-reg petz are ones that follow their breed standard without faults. They must be purebred, or an accepted selective breed that is made to look purebred (like Harlequin Danes). Breed standards are still being added to UKC at the moments, but if you are a previous PKC enthusiast and know your pet is A-reg then go ahead and choose that. If you need a breed added to the selection list, please send FilthyHippie a message or defvenom on Discord.

Registering Wildz

Wildz are broadly categorized into the groups below. Please choose the most fitting label from this selection:

• Equines: all horses and Laptop Ponies (LTPs).
• Oddballz: based on any PFM oddball species.
• Wildz: based on real animals.
• Fantasy: based on fictional creatures and cryptids (unicorn, winged dog, mushroom cat, etc).
• Other: anything that does fit into the above categories.
