Pet Hiccups

What hiccups?

Hiccups aren't a whole separate behaviour, they'll just happen as your pet is doing other things. It's most noticeable when sound is on and you can hear them, but you'll also see the pet jump a little bit when it hiccups. Your pet will stop hiccuping over time.

Some pets are prone to getting hiccups and others aren't. I think all pets can get hiccups in normal gameplay but some have specific hiccup triggers.

Detecting hiccup-y Petz with PetzChecker

Run Thor's PetzChecker on your petz. Look at the signature move (SM) column.

If the pet shows a 1 in the SM column, it will not have hiccups.

If the pet shows 2-8 in the SM column, it will get hiccups in one of the below scenarios. Only the scenario for the lowest number will be triggered. This is true even if the pet also shows a higher SM number.

Hiccup scenarios

If the lowest signature animation value is this, then your pet will get hiccups from that:

  1. no hiccups I just have to have a 1 value here or this isn't formatted as a list
  2. being petted
  3. being sprayed
  4. eating chicken treat
  5. eating beef treat
  6. eating fish treat
  7. eating turkey treat
  8. eating cheese

As far as I know, the hiccups will not trigger from a bowl of that flavour. They will only trigger from an entirely-edible toy like a treat.
