Nova's Guide To Creating A Clear Hex Base in LNZ Pro
This was note written by me, but by Nova@Supernova who has not been active in the petz community for years. Hexing has moved on since Nova first wrote this, but it's still useful as a slice of petz history if nothing else
Heading"Clearing" a file before hex painting (LNZ Pro)
If you intend to make a hexie with a completely new colour, you may want to remove all existing colour variations in the file.
Often you can do this in Petz Workshop, but some files goes wonky when you do that, plus you might not want to remove shape variations if those exist. Then, you can use LNZ Pro to "clear" the file.
This is a listing of what you should look for and remove, if you want to remove all colour variations.
Remember, you can use the Find (ctrl + F) function to quickly find these sections.
[Eyelid Color]
Delete everything under this section and leave just the number you want to use, eg:
[Eyelid Color]
25
[Color Info Override] & [Outline Color Override]
Delete everything in these sections, you can even delete the titles!
[Paint Ballz]
Delete everything you don't want - normally you want to leave the pawpads if the file has them but delete the rest.
That should take care of everything most "normal" files has and leave you with a "blank" file that only comes in whatever is its default colour!
